Hello Lake Chalet Community,

ASR has currently installed the temporary stairs at building L. All the balconies have been opened, and the temporary stairs are ready to use for access and deliveries.

The crew have installed plywood over the front doors of building L, closing off access to the old staircases at the end of the building.

Demolition has started this week with both ends of the building. The stairs and the landings have been removed. The concrete foundations have been exposed and ready for inspection with Knott Engineering.

The concrete crew is ready to install the new caissons, and the framers have materials arriving in anticipation of the framing.

Temporary shoring is installed for safety precautions at the end of the building, to help in supporting the structure while the crew begins to frame the new landings.

During this time, please remember to watch for the construction zones, as they will be very active with the crew during the day. Please be mindful of children and pets in these areas.

With the framing activity you will hear loud noises, and possible vibration throughout the building. Please make sure to remove any valuables from the walls or shelves so they don’t fall off during the vibration.

ASR will continue with the framing activity for the next two weeks.
